Feature Ingredients
Red clover is an herbal supplement used orally for conditions such as menopausal symptoms and hot flashes, mastalgia, premenstrual syndrome, cancer prevention, indigestion, hypercholesterolemia, whooping cough, asthma, bronchitis, and sexually transmitted diseases.
Modern scientific tests have shown that red clover contains isoflavones, plant-based chemicals that produce estrogen-like effects in the body. Isoflavones have shown potential in the treatment of several conditions associated with menopause, such as hot flashes, cardiovascular health, and osteoporosis.
A clinical study by Obstetrics and Gynecology International found that red clover extract may increase hair growth for those experiencing hair loss due to alopecia. During the study on postmenopausal women, there were reports of subjective improvements of scalp hair after using red clover extract.
